Step Count and the Impact on Health and Wellbeing

Ever heard the saying, “Every step counts”? Well, it’s true! Walking more each day can be a simple yet powerful way to boost your health and wellbeing.

Isle Health actually started with 'Walking Wednesday' maybe I'll bring that back... I digress sorry... steps!:

Studies show that hitting 7,000-10,000 steps daily can lower your risk of heart disease, improve mood, and even help with weight management. It doesn’t have to be all at once—little changes like parking further away from the shops or taking the stairs or escalator all add up.

Plus, tracking your steps can be super motivating. Many fitness apps and devices let you set daily goals and celebrate when you hit them. The beauty of walking is its accessibility. No fancy equipment or gym membership needed—just put on some comfy shoes and get going (it's no fashion show here)!

Walking is one of the easiest ways to improve your health. Aim for those 10,000 steps, and you’ll feel the difference in no time.
